While the books themselves are not accessible to the public, a catalog has been developed to allow virtual access to the titles of the wonderful books that are housed at the Governor's Mansion. The collection represents Georgia’s rich literary heritage with copies signed by Margaret Mitchell, Joel Chandler Harris, Ferrol Sams, Erskine Caldwell, Celestine Sibley and other Georgia authors. The Georgia Public Library Service (GPLS) has catalogued over 2,700 books. The Governor and First Lady are pleased to have this collection catalogued and available for viewing on the Georgia Pines Website.
